The Projection Band began in 2009 and is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.

This improvising group has included a number of musicians from New Zealand and abroad, including Phill Dyrson (guitar), Phil Dadson (invented instruments), Torben Tilly (synthesizers), Rui Inaba (bass and synthesizers), Kristian Larsen (electronics) among many others. The group is lead by Croatian/New Zealand artist and musician, Ivan Mršić on invented instruments and projections.

As the name of the group suggests, all live performances are undertaken alongside a unique moving image projection which performers are influenced by as the performance unfolds.

This album combines pieces recorded as single takes live at the Kenneth Myers Centre, Auckland, New Zealand, in 2013.
